Some sample pictures of typical joinery on Mongolian made yurts.
As you can see the door edges and lintels are unpainted leaving the poorly made joints exposed.
This is standard on all Mongolian yurts except ours. You can also see that the tenon joints are
straight through joints meaning that once in the UK they will act like litmus paper soaking up water,
expanding and contracting until it slowly pushes itself apart. This will take time to happen, but it will
happen. However the first thing that will happen will be that the water will get into the wood and the
door will swell, this means you will not be able to close it ! This will happen the 1st or 2nd time it
rains. Think this is bad - wait until you see your crown wheel.
Please please do not buy these shoddily made yurts.

One of these shoddily made yurts in the UK after one year. Door is falling apart as the joints slowly
fall to pieces. Cheap Chinese paint has also faded considerably in the sun and rain.
